Today is Andrew's Birthday!
The birthday of your child is something speical. Although Andrew doesn't think today is any different than any other day, for us as his parents it is. A time to thank God for the 2 years we have had together and to pray for more of those to come. A time to reflect on how much he has grown and learned in 2 years. A time to celebrate life! etc....
We are so thankful for Andrew and for all the wonderful family members and friends who have been part of his life thus far.
When his nap is over it will be time to celebrate more!! With Daddy too!
His time of actual birth is 3:22 pm so hopefully we will be doing something more fun than sleeping at that moment!

6 Years of Marriage!
We went to dinner a couple days in advance considering Andrew's 2nd Birthday party was on our actual anniversary. We had a $100.00 gift certificate to Stoney River and we ate all $97.00 worth. Relaxing, best company I could ask for and romantic. Andrew stayed back with Babka and Aunt Lisa who were visiting (thanks).
After Andrew's birthday party we were able to relax and watch the DVD of our wedding ceremony.

A New BIG BOY room
It is 2 months before baby #2 is born, so we thought we would make Andrew's transition easier and put him in his new room now. He is now in the "office"...well, it is his room now although the computer is still there it will be moving. Ryan and I worked all day one Thursday and then when Andrew got up from his nap we showed him that his crib (same one he had for consistency) was now in a new room. We were nervous how it would effect him and it didn't seem to phase him one bit. In fact, it is brighter (bigger windows) in his room now and he plays in it now (He never used to play in his old room). We still have some stuff to do in his room, but it works for now. (Ryan even helped sort clothes and pack them a way...not one of my favorite jobs).
Although in the last week he did climb out of his crib one time, but I was sitting at the computer and he climbed onto my back. We have been wishy-washy on making his crib into a toddler bed, but are holding off at this time. Andrew hasn't done it since,so hopefully not again any time soon.

Life Celebration
We have a friend from church who has cancer whose MD says doesn't have long to live. So, we were invited to a party (kind of like a wedding...food, DJ, dancing) to celebrate her life! I think more people should do this. It was a way for her to say goodbye and a way for us to celebrate her, as a child of God. If you know someone who is close to death you may want to suggest such a party

Train Ride
Andrew really enjoyed riding on the little train. His new love is trains and is always asking to watch Thomas the Train on TV (we have a DVD). I think we found his second love behind Doggie Mac.

Friends visit from Vietnam
These are our great friends from Seminary and whom have lived in Vietnam for the past two years. It was so awesome to have them stay with us for 5 days and catch up on life...it seemed like they never left. Except for the fact that Celeste is 2, Andrew is almost 2 and we are both expecting (Aimee in August and Me in September). We pray many blessings on them today and for the years to come.
